BOW has become a landmark event for Hamilton, something like the Field days. The event was extremely well attended with over 80,000 people attending "The Nightglow" where the balloons put on a stunning light show. Hundreds of Thousands alos came to the event over the 5 days that it was run, unfortunately due to fog The Mass Ascension did not go ahead however some balloons still inflated, The Dawn Patrol saw all the balloons lift off at 7:30am creatng an amazing view in the sky, Friday, Saturday and Sunday were also amazing as the balloons lifted off on all of these days. Balloons over Waikato is most definitly a popular event winning Best Waikato Event as voted by Waikato Times Tempo readers for 2007 and 2009. Congratulations to the organisers i no how hard you work and how much time and effort and sponsorship it takes to run this amazing event.
