Allen Street was named in 1913 by the Jolly Family. It is assumed that it was named after Mr C.E.H. Allen, a former mayor of Frankton (1912-1916).

Allen Street was named in 1913 by the Jolly Family who were the owners of the property.  (Lands & Surveys) There is no documentary evidence to indicate why this street was named Allen Street, but it is assumed that it was named after Mr C.E.H. Allen, who along with Frank Jolly were the only two mayors of Frankton Borough (1912-1916).  (HCL) (Gibbons p. 151)

Allen Street is located here on Google maps.  The image above was retrieved from Google maps street view c. 2011.
